Philosophy
Five and Two Shiatsu provides a serene and secure sanctuary where one's spirit, mind, and body can unwind and experience profound healing. We firmly believe that such a refuge is essential in today's fast-paced world. Here, time does not burden you, and it doesn't claim the top spot on your list of priorities. Instead, upon entering Five and Two Shiatsu, your primary focus should be on showing kindness to your body and allowing it the rest it deserves.
While at Five and Two Shiatsu, there's no need to harbor even the slightest guilt for indulging in physical inactivity. Instead, encourage your mind to remain present in the moment, and be willing to connect with and express gratitude to your physical self. After all, true healing can only occur when the body finds the rest it needs. Five and Two Shiatsu is a secure and rejuvenating haven, where your mind and body can attain a state of deeper relaxation.
Our Mission
We employ traditional clinical bodywork and techniques from the Far East to facilitate the reconnection of one's spirit, mind, and body. Through this holistic approach, individuals can enable their physical bodies to naturally and optimally heal.
Our Approach
Our approach to Stretch Therapy draws inspiration from various traditional Eastern clinical bodywork practices, aimed at harmonizing and revitalizing the body's Qi or Chi, the vital life energy source. Our goal is to enhance body awareness, flexibility, and vitality. To achieve this, we integrate a range of Eastern modalities, including Zen Shiatsu, Qi-gong massage, Tantsu/Watsu movements, Tai Chi movements, Thai-Yoga massage, Tui-na, and more. In addition to these Asian Studies modalities, we also incorporate NSB (Neurostructural Bodywork) to provide deeper musculoskeletal bodywork.
Our services are designed to benefit anyone seeking to naturally and holistically improve their health and overall well-being.
